Born in the enchanting town of Jacmel, Haiti, Sassia's love for Latin music blossomed through shared moments with her mother, creating a lifelong connection to the power of harmonies and beats. In 2009, Sassia marked her entrance onto the London Salsa scene at the prestigious TNT Salsa School. What started as a debut soon transformed into a decade-long residency, establishing Sassia as an integral part of London's dynamic salsa community. Her talents have graced international stages, making her a regular presence at esteemed events such as the Valbonne Salsa Festival, Paris Latin Box Night, the Heidelberg Mambo Marathon The Luxembourg Salsa Marathon , Mamboswiss in Switzerland and many more captivating audiences all across Europe. In 2019, Sassia, recognizing the need for a rhythmic lifeline during times when social dancing was a challenge, pioneered the creation of Salsalockdown webradio—a 24/7 sanctuary for the salsa community. Continuing to broaden her impact, in 2023 she joined OSSR radio, adding another dimension to her influence with a captivating show. Beyond the allure of Latin rhythms, Sassia's heart beats in sync with the soulful tunes of her Haitian heritage. In 2023, she co-founded KonpaLondon, a fervent collective devoted to spreading the infectious joy and fervor of Haitian Konpa music throughout London. KonpaLondon's mission is a vibrant one, serving as a dynamic platform for Haitian artists to express themselves, showcasing their talents in attractive venues that offer Londoners a genuine taste of Haiti. Sassia's journey is a harmonious blend of cultural richness, a celebration of diversity, and an unyielding dedication to the transformative power of music. Through her eclectic DJ sets, international performances, and commitment to preserving and promoting Haitian musical heritage, Sassia stands as a bridge between worlds, uniting communities and bringing the soulful sounds of two continents together.
