An eclectic music collective with listener participation as they shape the show. Music genres include soul and reggae, gospel, jazz, blues and anything in between.
I have always wanted to be in radio from a young age and realised my dreams at several radio stations.
I started at Hospital Radio, during which I received my first introduction to professional radio at BBC Radio London. I worked behind the scenes in production and front of the mic as a continuity announcer and producer, as well as participating in one or two outside broadcasts.
After my time in Hospital Radio and BBC Radio London, I joined Spectrum Radio, a multi-cultural radio station, as an overnight presenter/producer, soon moving to what became a popular Sunday morning show aimed mainly at the African and Caribbean communities, although the show’s huge listenership extended well beyond that.
After Spectrum Radio, I did a brief stint at WNK (Wicked, Neutral and Kicking) Radio in North London, where I did an Early Breakfast Show on Mondays.
Now, after a long time away, I’m back and part of the Colourful Radio family, one I’m pleased and proud to be a member of. Some people say, ‘Everything happens for a reason. ’ I think they’re right!
